STEM Students Excel at CIJE Innovation Day


Culminating their work on a year-long capstone project, the 11th grade STEM class pitched their prototypes at CIJE Innovation Day yesterday with over 40 other Jewish day schools from across the nation. Out of 500+ projects, four of our nine student groups received various awards. Oren G. and Cayla M. received 1st place in Engineering for Older Adults for "Dospense," an automatic liquid medication dispenser. Rachel N. and Austin C. received 2nd place for Engineering for Personal Care for "SunSwift," a wearable sunscreen dispenser and reapplication reminder. Jolie. F and Sophia S. received 2nd place for Engineering for Pets for "No-Mess Munch Mate," an automatic dog food cleaner. Max C., Alex L and Matt S. also won the Best Pitch award in their presentation room. Mazel tov to all of our award recipients and STEM participants!
