Please join us for a presentation by Mr. Ed De la Fuente, a detective with the Millburn police force. Through his training by the Essex County Cybercrime Task Force and the FBI Cybercrime Task Force, Mr. De la Fuente comes to us with many years of experience. We know his expertise in the areas of computer fraud, child luring, internet impersonations, cyberbullying, and harassment will be an excellent resource for our community.
Mr. De la Fuente regularly speaks to parent groups about privacy issues related to social media applications, including SnapChat, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. In addition, he will discuss the dangers of posting personal information online and the laws around the sharing of digital images. Mr. De la Fuente will also provide tools to help parents monitor their children’s use of technology and guidelines for developing positive citizenship.
Mr. De la Fuente will spend the day on both campuses, conducting age-appropriate assemblies with students in grades 3-12. We look forward to seeing you at this very important and informative program.
