GOA Community Comes Together to Make a Lasting Impact on Day of Giving

On Thursday, March 19, Golda Och Academy celebrated its annual Day of Giving in support of the 2025–26 Annual Fund. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we surpassed our goal of 180 gifts, reaching an outstanding 285 donations.

Together, we raised $49,535 — a remarkable increase from last year’s $22,382 raised through 155 gifts. We are deeply grateful to our alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends whose support made this achievement possible. A special shout-out goes to the Classes of 2018 and 2013 for their outstanding participation!

Every gift to the GOA Annual Fund plays a vital role in fostering an environment where students can explore their passions, build meaningful relationships with faculty mentors, and form lifelong friendships — all within the warmth of our nurturing Jewish community.

These contributions help make exceptional opportunities possible, including Neshama, Na’ale, STEM and robotics programs, athletics, the arts, clubs, Shabbatonim, trips, Jewish holiday programming, and so much more. Just as importantly, they support our commitment to accessibility and affordability by strengthening our financial aid program, which benefits over 50% of GOA families.

The success of this year’s Day of Giving was made possible through the dedicated leadership of Dina Wiesen, Annual Fund Chair; Pam Davis, Development Chair; Naomi Kramer Mullen ’10 and Rebecca Landau Shuster ’18, SSDS/GOA Alumni Society Campaign Chairs, Jared Green, Lower School Parents Campaign Chair; Merisa Fink ’00, Upper School Parents Campaign Chair; Nina Blimes, Upper School Faculty Campaign Chair; and Dr. Samara Grossman, Lower School Faculty Campaign Chair. We also extend our sincere thanks to Dana Halpern, Alumni Engagement Coordinator, and Michael Bressman, Director of Development, for their tremendous leadership.

We are truly grateful for every gift and for the collective impact of our community. Together, we are strengthening the GOA experience and helping to shape the next generation of Jewish leaders.
