Performing Arts

At the Lower School, our students participate in a Festival of the Arts at the end of the year as well as milestone performances in each grade. At the Upper School, our Performing Arts program produces annual productions, including a High School musical and play, Middle School musical, and the Winter Concert. Arts in Action Night, the culminating arts event held in June, is organized by our student-run Arts Council and celebrates the year in the arts featuring performances, creative work and a visual art gallery.

We have a wide variety of students who act on stage and work backstage on choreography, lighting, set design, hair/make-up, costume design, and stage management. There is a meaningful contribution that every student can make, on or off stage.

Israeli Dance at the Lower School

Lower School students learn traditional Israeli dances as well as original choreographies. Through the study of dance, students gain a deeper appreciation and mode of expression for "Ahavat Yisrael" - love of Israel. All students in Pre-K through 5th grade are exposed to the Israeli dance curriculum throughout the year during holiday celebrations, recess clubs and/or Funtracks. In addition, students in Pre-K through 2nd grade have opportunities to dance each month on Rosh Chodesh.
