Message from the Head of School: Welcome Back Ms. Julia Rasmussen (Malaga) as CFO

I am delighted to share the exciting news that Julia Rasmussen (Malaga) will be rejoining our leadership team as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1, 2025.

Julia is no stranger to Golda Och Academy. She first joined our school in 2005 and served as our CFO/COO with great distinction for 18 years. During that time, she helped shape many of the financial and operational systems that continue to support our school’s mission today. Her leadership was instrumental in guiding GOA through periods of change with wisdom, clarity, and care.

More recently, Julia served as Chief Operating Officer at Repair the World in New York City, where she continued to expand her impact—leading strategic initiatives and building strong operational foundations that helped the organization thrive.

Julia brings with her a unique combination of creative insight and financial expertise. She has deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and operational planning. Just as importantly, she leads with the qualities that define strong community leadership: integrity, respect, and compassion. These values have always guided her approach to decision-making and collaboration, and they will continue to serve our school well as we move forward.

I know many of you who have worked with Julia in the past will join me in warmly welcoming her home to Golda Och. For those meeting her for the first time, you can look forward to partnering with a deeply capable and mission-driven leader who truly cares about the people and purpose of this school.

Please join me in celebrating Julia’s return. We are thrilled to have her back and look forward to all that lies ahead with her leadership.

Warmly,

Carrie Z. Siegel ‘92
