Purim Celebrated With Costumes, STEAM, Community Service, Fundraising, and Hamentashen!

While Purim wasn't officially celebrated until the weekend this year, GOA hosted a full-schedule of all-day, all-school activities to celebrate the festive holiday on Friday, March 22!

Pre-K to 3rd grade students used the Livnot STEAM Lab to learn how sound waves are created with vibrations while building their own groggers using loose parts and modular robotics kits.

The 7th grade students fulfilled the mitzvah of Matanot L'evyonim on Purim by visiting the Community Food Bank of NJ in Hillside and helped sort and pack food items to be delivered to communities across New Jersey.

In the Upper School, the Breast Cancer Awareness Club hosted their annual Pie-A-Teacher fundraiser to benefit Sharsheret. 15 teachers bravely volunteered for the important cause!

Of course, there were costumes and hamentashen on both campuses. Please visit our photo album to see highlights of the day!
