Gratitude
We are proud to open our doors to Israeli students who are either unable to go back home or had to leave Israel for respite. A separate and special program has been designed to provide a warm Jewish, Hebrew-intensive environment for these children until they are able to return to their schools in Israel. Here is a compilation of accolades we have received from our Israeli community regarding GOA’s response to the attack in Israel.

Yoav is having such a wonderful experience at Golda Och — so firstly, I would like to thank you all again for such an opportunity. I can genuinely say that this has been an amazing experience for Yoav, both socially and educationally, and that he has made friends that will continue way beyond this visit. He has already started asking about how they can meet up when he comes to NJ in future visits, such as potentially in the summer. In such horrific times, Golda Och has been the light.
I want to send my thank you to all the people at GOA — the administration, the teachers and the students. I especially want to thank you all — Sari Allen, Lori Jaffe, Rabbi Nevins and Dr. Apter. Everyone has been so wonderful, and we appreciate it greatly. I know it was not easy to be so spontaneous.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you for your compassion, kindness, and hospitality that you showed our family. We thank you for seeing our girls as children, and providing them with a strong feeling of belonging and of stable ground. You opened your heart to them and to us, as did the entire GOA community. You brought us comfort and light during a period when we so needed it.

There are no words to thank you for your generosity, compassion, Hachnasat Orchim (hospitality), sensitivity that you showed towards our family and Naya. The possibility to get such support in these challenging times gives a sense of home even when our home is burning. It is lifesaving.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for giving us a house, stability, and routine at tumultuous times. Our three children had a meaningful and fun time at Golda Och and Shomrei Emunah’s Prek. We will forever remember this month, your generosity and these two great communities we got to know.
