Grandparents & Grandfriends Day FAQs

List of 3 items.

  • What happens if no one is able to visit my child(ren)?

While Grandparents & Grandfriends Day is a special event where relatives can bond and see your children in action at school, we take special care in ensuring that all of our students—whether they have a visitor or not—feel included during the day. At the Lower School all students will be doing group projects and at the Upper School students attend regular classes.
  • How are the Lower and Upper School sessions different?

At the Lower School students – along with their Grandfriends or Grandparents – take part in 2 sessions of group activities.  One of Judaic studies, and  one of General Studies. At the Upper School, visitors will be provided with lunch, will be able to listen to our Choir as well as attend a class with the student they are visiting.
  • How do we choose the date and times for Grandparents & Grandfriends Day?

We take great care in choosing the date and times of this event. We want to create a welcoming experience for grandparents while ensuring that student learning is minimally interrupted, including standardize testing and Jewish holiday programming.
