She successfully established their middle school, navigated financial and operational issues through several large capital renovations, established and implemented a human resources department, as well as secured funding for COVID resources.

Prior to her work in the academic setting, Jennifer spent 14 years in her own robust accounting services practice specializing in restructuring operations and financial departments, forensic accounting and insolvency litigation. Her broad industry experience includes the legal, manufacturing, insurance/real estate, healthcare, retail, advertising, education, and not-for-profit sectors, and she has worked closely with the Jewish Community Center of Central New Jersey, the Newark Boys Chorus School, and Alzheimer’s Association/Alzheimer’s New Jersey

Through a creative and analytical process, Jennifer develops strategic solutions, has strong skills in cash flow management/reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and management of business systems both operationally and financially. She has successfully developed, negotiated and navigated partnerships for operational and financial success.

“I truly believe that success is team driven and recognize that Golda Och Academy families, students, administration, Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, and community are all equally important in supporting and strengthening the organization,” said Jennifer. “I look forward to being a part of this support team to help orchestrate a successful future for the school.”

In addition to receiving her accounting degree from Rutgers University, Jennifer is a licensed CPA. She resides in Maplewood and has two daughters: a second-year engineering student at Purdue University and a high school senior.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Carlin to Golda Och Academy,” said Head of School Rabbi Danny Nevins. “She has already impressed our team with her insightful questions and her commitment to hit the ground running.
