In the past two years, Lower School faculty member Tsipi Taube has focused on the growth of her students as well as her own professional growth. As a Jewish New Teacher Project (JNTP) mentee, Morah Tsipi has worked closely with her mentor, Paula Spack, to help strengthen her own teaching methods and practices and has taken courses ranging from CIJE smartboard training to TalAm and iTalAm training. This past summer, she attended the Hidden Sparks Learning Lenses program, a four-day intensive workshop which focused on maximizing the growth of students through understanding and recognizing each of their talents, strengths, affinities and challenges.
Morah Tsipi hopes to incorporate many of the lessons she learned through the workshops into her 4th grade Judaic Studies classroom this year. "One of my goals this year is to create engaging lessons that will stimulate different levels of students in my class, challenging them through games and activities to give them all a great sense of accomplishment. I love the flexibility I have to be creative with the material and to bring various methods of learning into the classroom."
