    Independent Study Night

    Seniors will be displaying their semester projects for Independent Study for their classmates, families, and interested faculty. Something of a gallery opening/cocktail party kind of feel.

    Senior Day

    Upper School Campus
    8:00 am – 2:00 pm: Community Blood Drive
    8:30 am: Student led Tefillah
    9:00 am – 9:30 am: Breakfast Prep
    9:30 am – 10:30 am: Pancake Breakfast for 12th Grade Students and Faculty
    10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Class Projects (mural, blood drive, senior video, prom prep, etc.)
    12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: 8th Grade/12th Grade Lunch and Program
    1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Class Projects
    2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Opioid Overdose Prevention Training Program*
     
    *Following last year’s CPR/AED training, we are thrilled to welcome the Center for Addiction Recovery Education and Success (CARES) into our school to provide this training.  As our 12th grade students head out into the world, this program will empower them with the knowledge and skills to help others around them that may be struggling.

    Senior Send-Off

    Upper School Campus
    Senior Send-Off will start at 8:30 am and end at 10:50 am.  Seniors and their families will begin by davening together and then enjoy brunch followed by the send-off from 10 - 10:50 am.  
    • 8th - 11th grade students will join during the break at 9:50 am to attend  the send-off ceremony in the gym. 
    • 12th grade students will be dismissed at the end of send-off at 10:50 am. 
    • 11th grade students (and any 9th/10th grade guests) will be dismissed for the day following their 3rd period class (11:40am). 
    • 11th grade students will only attend 1st and 3rd period classes that day.

    Junior/Senior Prom 2023

    Temple Beth Ahm, 60 Temple Dr., Springfield, NJ 07081
    We are looking forward to our Junior/Senior Prom on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.  With the help of our Student Prom Committee, the night is sure to be one to remember!
     
    Please note the following important information:
     
    • All Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend prom.  Students may opt to come with a guest but may also attend alone or with a group.
     
    • Prom will take place at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael in Springfield from 7:00 pm – 12:00 am.  Parents are invited for pictures in the main foyer from 7:00 – 7:45 pm.
     
    • At the conclusion of prom, every student (and guest) must be picked up from Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael by a pre-designated adult.  No student or guest is permitted to drive themselves to or from prom nor to leave during the event with anyone other than their designated adult.  Golda Och Academy is not sponsoring an organized after-prom activity.
     
    • On Wednesday, February 15, Seniors will be dismissed from school following Senior Send-Off.  Juniors (and any 9th or 10th grade guests) will attend their 3rd period classes and be dismissed from school at 11:40 AM.   No academic classes will be in session for Juniors for the remainder of the school day, but the library will be open should a student need a place to work.  Golda Och Academy is closed for a Professional Development Day on Thursday, February 16 and for President’s Day Weekend on Friday, February 17 and Monday, February 20.
     
    • Cost - $160/per person.  Should you need financial assistance to make prom attendance accessible, please be in touch.
     
    • RSVP – The prom registration and payment portal and all other prom forms can be accessed via this link: https://sites.google.com/goldaochacademy.org/prom/.  This link can be forwarded to prom guests in GOA’s 9th and 10th grade and to any outside guests.  All forms must be completed by Friday, January 27, 2023.

    Golda Och Academy Information Session in Teaneck

    Join us in Teaneck on Thursday, February 23 at 7:00pm to learn more about the the exceptional opportunities available to Golda Och Academy High School students.  

    This event will be held in a private home. The address will be shared upon registration.
